TODD HEWITT BROTH w Colistin/Nalidixic Acid is a selective medium used for cultivating and isolating group B streptococci [Streptococcus agalactiae].

Inoculate TODD HEWITT BROTH w Colistin/Nalidixic Acid tubes with swab specimens. Incubate at 37°C for 18-24 hours in an aerobic atmosphere. Refer to appropriate texts for further information regarding procedures. The turbidity in the tube indicates microbial growth. If turbidity is observed, subculture from the broth culture to a sheep blood agar plate.
