Infected individuals typically experience mild diarrhea and intestinal symptoms. However, in severe cases, the parasite can migrate outside the intestine, leading to pulmonary infections, septic shock, or meningitis. The assay uses L3 stage larval antigens coated on microplates. During testing, IgG antibodies in the sample bind to the antigens, followed by enzyme conjugate and chromogen (TMB) addition, producing a visible color change.
